Jean passed away peacefully on 31st December 2020 at Belong Care Home, Macclesfield, aged 88 years. The funeral service will take place at St Michael’s Church, North Rode on Friday 15th January 2021 at 2pm, followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. Jean taught me everything about language and usage and set me on the road with Steinbeck and the rest. She was a wonderful teacher and I will remember her.
