Ray, of Sandbach, passed away peacefully on 26th June 2026 aged 88 years. He was the treasured Husband of the late Sheila, loving Dad and Father-in-law to Rob and Sari and the late Anthony, and cherished Grandad to Ayshia and Saffron. The funeral service will take place at Vale Royal Crematorium on Monday 20th July 2026 at 2:30pm. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to The British Red Cross.
Jean Harris and Bridget Muir will be attending Ray’s funeral because we are the other people in the Birchall family and he has always been a part of our lives. So sad at his passing. Please pass this on to Rays immediate family. Thank you.
Thank you Ray for stopping Me often walking into town, and you suggesting that I helped with the St Peters, Elworth Church gardening team, Sandbach. Which I joined.
I remember first meeting you at Thursday Tea’s at St Mary’s Church, Sandbach, on a Thursday Morning where I was helping with Volunteering to help them raise money for the Church roof, You also helped with gardening team with both Howard and with Bill Morrison, ( David William Mirrison ) at St Peter’s with Bill Morrison and at St Mary’s Church Garden’s with Bill Morrison and at St Peters with Howard that are now as overgrown weeds at St Mary’s Church,.
Thank you being their and doing your best to help everyone, including Me to find something that I enjoy and locally too.
We all Miss you, God Bless you Ray, I Shall never forget about you.
